as a temporary replacement for the zuffenhausen indoor swimming pool during its renovation, an innovative, mobile interim pool is being developed. the compact space concept optimally utilizes the limited plot area and relies on a modular, cost-efficient construction method with a high degree of prefabrication. this enables a short construction time and flexible reuse at a new location. the concept combines sustainable materials and construction methods: the swimming hall will be built using timber elements, while the ancillary areas are designed with space modules. a modular swimming pool complements the system. the minimal use of foundation and heavy construction work significantly reduces the effort required for dismantling and restoration. sustainability is the focus: resource-efficient construction and operation, the multiple reuse of building elements, and a modern energy and MEP concept contribute to an environmentally friendly and contemporary solution. |
